After evaluating my needs for an ATV I narrowed it down to a 4x4 auto Eiger or 4x4 P360. Most dealers that sell both seem to say Eiger due to its better handling, faster and overall sportiness. I prefer more sport over utility as i won't be doing any farm work, pulling logs, trailers etc. I know this is on the suzuki forum but maybe someone has ridden or owned both.
I got an OTD price of $4800 on the '04 Eiger 4x4 auto in green. Also got an OTD price of $4500 on an '03 Eiger 4x4 auto green. Both are new and no miles. Since this is out of state I will exercise my option on paying sales tax which is only 4.5% in my state which is not that bad.

Which is the better deal? I think the only difference on the '04 is it is pre-wired for a winch. Anything else. Suzuki doesn't have any incentives on this bike to really help on the price. I'm paying cash so if incentives in 2 months will get the price better I will wait. I am in no rush but I would think spring time would be a tougher time to get a better deal.

I have an 03 and I have looked at the 04's. They look the same to me. But in the years to come resale will effect you. The 03 is almost 2 years old now. If it was up to me I would buy the 03 and put the $300 towards a winch.

03 Eiger 4x4 5sp Green Uni filter,K&N jet kit, Cycle County 48" plow, and 2000 lb super winch.

 

I just bought an 03 Eiger holdover 4x4 red for 4500 otd and they gave me a winch for $69, I would think since your paying cash that they would work with you on the extras.

 

If you plan on keeping the 03' then you shouldn't have to worry about resale value. I don't know if Suzuki made any changes from 03 to '04. Eiger and Vinson are both great quads.
