Default jr50 trans mod

Hay... does anybody know how to get the 2nd gear working on the suzuki jr 50.I have two of them for my 7yo twin boys and they want more speed . I want them to get more practise with shift pedals.Thanks

Ive heard of this also, i have a 5 year old that races flat track... i was wondering about that also, his is a 2002

Mine works great, just press it down for high speed and up for low speed(climbing). It just doesnt sound right when your actually moving and you put it in gear but it does work better if your stopped and put it in gear before you take off.

This is what I was told. Take what you have to apart and get whatever the shifter attaches to out. I'm told that there is a notch in the one side that allows you to move the shifter and put it into gear. I'm told you make a similiar notch in the other side of that piece and now you have the 2 speed. Up is 1st, down 2nd.
