Reread the thread. its all there. Sorry, no pics. But if ya take yer time taking er apart and pay attention you wont have any problems. The best way to learn is to dive in!

 

Diving in usually ends up costing me money. But it doesn't sound too bad so i am gonna give it a try soon.

I still need to rejet I hope I can do it without removing the carb, go over the airbox mod again. And I still can't get the silencer out any ideas?

 

Interesting comments. What were your "lean" simptoms? My '05 Eiger 400 4x4 automatic burps and farts a lot at moderate speeds and at top speed it will fall on its face and backfire. Sometimes stopping completely! It almost always backfires when shutting down as well. Any ideas?

 

advance, what is the altitude where you ride? Sounds like your eiger is running lean. Switch to a larger main jet and set the pilot screw to 2.5 to 3 turns.

alright guys, i saw this tread and had to try the spring idea, clipped about an inch off and now it bogs on the initial throttle, once i get going it runs great. Almost brings the front end up going into 2nd but first is a dog! I'm thinking i'll go down a main jet size and see how that does. i dont think its too lean since it was running great before.... any ideas before i pull the carb off again?

 

Ok, so i went out yesterday and tried a few things. turns out i was running lean. I went up to a Keihin 140 jet and moved my needle to the second slot. She runs like a raped ape! Good response through the full range of throttle! Im headed to Slades Park in Surry VA tomorrow to field test it all! Will get a few pics up monday.

 

Any new news from anyone? I am going to the dealer and get a 135. I am about 600 -1000 feet here so I should be good.
