are the cases the same throughout all the years?

I think so,head stud's and intake size are different.87 has 6 head stud and a bigger intake then the later model's.

Didn't some of the later cases bring inserts around the main bearings?

do they all have the same crankshafts??

will an 88 top end work on an 87 if the top end is complete??

the cylinders are completely interchange able . an as far as i know the cranks are the same .

Man keep the 87 top end the intake is bigger,and in my opinion from racing other Zilla built by Vito's newer then the 87,mine smoked them.

i'm just looking to put some "plan B" parts on the shelf, just in case. Parts are hard to get up here

so the best top end is from an 87? does an 87 have the exhaust valve and does it increase the power alot?
