There won't be anything wrong with the fuel valve. That doesn't limit the amount of gas available to the carb. In fact there is a fuel pump in the circuit to increase the pressure and supply.
Unless you have a cracked carburater body you are most likely getting flooded because the needle seat is letting too much gas past. That's because it's gunked up, the floats are stuck, or it's worn so that it doesn't seat properly.

It's at the front of the machine. The line from the tank leads to it. But there's nothing wrong with it if you're flooding. <sigh>

yes. That's the valve. it should be on 'pri' only when you are firing it up after running out of fuel. Use 'on' or 'res' when you need to, from running low on gas. Pri is prime and runs the gas wide open. Use this only when you are starting the bike from running dry. This might be part of your problem if it's on prime.

I think you should trade your quad in for a tricycle....less problems.

Look on eBay using 'suzuki king' as a search, there are a couple of guys with a hoard of parted out kings or use your favorite search engine and use 'ATV salvage' for search words. You're bound to find a place near you.
