i couldnt help but notice, on the first guys post he said his main jet was at 145? wow. are you sure thats correct? my blaster is running a 230, my 500 has a 460. i cant rememeber what the pilot is, but it seems to be pretty close....

It is quite common to see bigger engines requiring leaner jetting than smaller ones,the bigger motor sends a stronger signal to the carb, therein it pulls more fuel thru the jet.On my 500cc i run smaller mains than what my friends do in their ported 350ccs, it is not always the case but it happens alot.

something you may have over looked is your reeds check them, they are very important on start up, if they are not sitting down tight you can flip them or replace them, they could also be cracked(iv seen this often with boysen reeds). and as for kicking it over i bring my kicker to the bottom and find compression stroke and only bring it back up about 1\3 of the way and kick it to the bottom because it will disengage at the very end of the kicker stroke and you will never get the kick back people are talking about
