Default Alba Exhaust Installation

I installed the Alba pipe kit last night. LOUD!!

Anyway, has anyone else installed this pipe? How did you mount to the frame? It appears to bolt right up, but I can't remove the bushings from the stock exhaust and it looks like it needs that gap.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Did you have to use some kind of spacer or is it metal to metal on the frame?

Thanks.

On mine there was no spacer, just metal to metal.

Butcher - Not sure about the spark arrestor or quiet core. Doubtful. I don't do any fireroad type riding, only dunes, so I'm not concerned with a spark arrestor.

How hot does that pipe get without the stock guard? I noticed it gets hot fast, but haven't ridden it yet.

Not to sure on that...Ill check how hot mine gets after work....

But I did not put the stock guard back on.

& have had no problems with it...

I was a little worried a few weeks ago...

got on the Z with shorts on, for a small Ride around the cabin.

You can feel the heat off of it lol.But its fine without that guard...@ least for me....

There was a big difference when I took my heat shield off. It just pours off.

Couple weeks ago when I went to Silver Lake I rode in shorts the entire time. Burnt myself in the same spot twice, ouch! But it's nothing you can't deal with. I'm used to it now. I rode a YFZ450 while I was there and that thing gave off more heat with a heatshield than mine did w/o.
