Default My pal is looking for a new quad. Help him choose.

My buddy is looking to buy a new quad. He has been borrowing a 2wd rancher from his brother in law to go riding with me. He is brand new with ATVs and knows very little about them and how to ride. He has actually only been on two trips his entire life on the quad. The first time we went riding it was very very slow moving since he was scared plus trying to get the feel of a 4 wheeler. By the end of the day he was getting the feel of things and speed and bravery was catching on. I let him take my auto 04 Eiger 4 by 4 out of the woods on the way back and he was flying on my machine. I asked him what happened to the guy that came up here? Ha Ha. He found my machine to be more stable, and easier to drive because of not having to change gears, with him being a beginner and all. Well anyway he has narrowed it down to a few different rides but cant decide which one to buy. This is what he is looking at. Something 4wd for sure, can swith from 2wd to 4wd, under 6g, and big enough to ride his wifey on the back through the trails and mountains. He wanted a fully automatice machine but he had heard some bad things about the belts getting wet and then breaking and being expensive to repair. He has been looking at a 4wd Eiger, Honda 450foreman s, and a 4wd rancher. These are some quads that he can afford that will probably get the job done for him, he just doesn't know which to choose. I can honestly say after riding a rancher i am so so happy that i went with the Eiger. But i do have to say that the rancher was 2wd and had been rode pretty rough, might have been part of the reason i felt so much difference in my Eiger and the rancher. Please help him out with all your comments and suggestions.

I would look at which one also is the less maintance too; An auto is easier to ride and the 2x4 is great too. Bikes that come to mind aswell are P360, Kodie 450. The 450 is 2 and 4 wheel drive.

I went with a new Eiger for my first one. Remember if he does buy a new Suzook he'll get a free safety training course and a hundred bucks just for doing it. I was glad this incentive was offered.
