Let's hear from some K.Q. owners...how is it?

BigBang,
I know what you mean about the turbo-lag thing, I don't know if that's built in or just the nature of the big single thumper. Do you also have the miss or slight hesitation when you accelerate from a steady speed??
That financing deal is a jip!! Kawasaki was doing a 4.9 for 2 years w/49 payment and then 6.9 for the remainder of the loan, that's a pretty good deal but like jaybeecon said your pretty much shooting yourself in the foot if you just pay the 49, it's pretty much all interest. I got a loan through a local credit union for 5.5% 60 months, you can figure it will be about $20 for every $1000 that you finance.

Yea...the 49 dollar deal is only good if you bite a big chunk out of it to begin with. I'm putting down 3500 from my old machine to get the 49 deal then at the end of 3 years I'll be at 2000 left.

The one dealer I visited in person had a yellow one with more coming in this week. The other dealer I called had a yellow one also with the same response, more due this week. I did make the first dealer an offer they told me they would accept and I am waiting to hear back from them now. If they call I will buy it as my wife needs a quad. If they don't I will add another Polaris to the fleet. The only thing I did not like about the new KQ is the tires are a waste. If you are using this for utility as I would be you have to factor in another 600 for tires and wheels. Plus you may need to spend a couple hundred on the optional skid plate protection. Interesting to comment the first thing that steered me towards the KQ was because of its low weight compared to the Polaris. But after factoring in mud tires and HD wheels and the fact my dealer told me they weigh at least 20 pounds higher than there advertised weight they are closer in weight than I thought.

Hi All
Well mine Had hesitation you hit the gas and nothing then it would take off but After putting more miles on the bike the hesitation seems to be going away .it happens about one time when riding. I did lock the diff today and they do have the rpm limit set kinda low but you can over ride it if you need to.So far i'am still very pleased with it. They did call and say the winch kit is in but all the othe things from suzuki will not be out until nov 7
As for the 49. it is the 5.5% that makes it great i will pay way more then the 49. say 200 and then roll any balance in 3 years to lower rate loan.

Yea I know the deal, but $49 a month would be good for 3 years... Sell my Eiger, and save a few bucks, and pay it off in 3 years!
Should be no problem!
Just wished I could avoid sales tax. Thats the problem with moving from a state with no sales tax... you never quite get use to it, and I've been here 20 years! There was Monana, here is Arizona.

I'm sure it will get smoother with time..the suzki engines in the cats I've read about for the last few years, always seem real tight..they run a little hot at first..and take about 200 miles to break in and then they wake up a bit more...so that is what I'm expecting. I'll also be putting amsoil in it after it is well broken in (which on my old cat..lowered the temp by about 15 degrees and really smoothed it out! more then with the not-so- slick stuff). I should have my KQ in this week! I plan on running a heavy tire on it though..so it might not break the world speed record! If they fit nice on stock rims..I'm putting on 26' 589's. They are catus proof and I need that out here! They are a great "dry snow" tire too...which is what i get up here in western siberia! I'll post picks after all my goodies come in for it too!

I am wondering.......Skidoo snowmobiles have a built in feature to retard the timing till so many hours are put on a new snowmobile then the timing advances to normal. I wonder if Suzuki is doing this with the KQ?
Pastor, I checked with my dealer he has all colors available. I pick mine up on Monday.
