Default How to break in a new engine

I've got about 30 miles on it now...I'll dump the oil soon, then start giving it more throttle, after about 200 miles I'll switch to synthetics. They run pretty hot while breaking in too, so don't just let it idle...get out and keep it moving.

Some bikes require that you use a specific brand of oil, but I dont believe suzuki has any restrictions on brand or type. Make sure you avoid FM syntheytics though.

I happen to have the owners manual out (reading it all) and it states "use Suzuki performance 4 motor oil or an equivalent good quality oil rated SF or SG under the API classification system" (page 9).
