Anybody know if the rear axle set-up of the Ozark is the same as the Z250? I am wanting to mount a trailer hitch on my new Z250, but only see them listed for the Ozark. Anybody put one on a z yet? What kind?

Anybody? I did a search, someone assumed the same thing, z250 rear is like ozark rear. Local dealer never has quads in stock or I would just go look.

 

99% sure that they both can take the same hitch - Don't think that there is any change in the rear swingarm from the Ozark to the Z. The hitch just clamps around the axle housing - has a hole that mates up to a stud to keep it from rotating. IIRC, it's about a $30 part.

I am collecting one of these for my LTZ250 this weekend. It does just clamp round the rear axle. Can send you pictures when fitted if you want.

 

I got the Ozark trailer hitch from www.heeters.com and it is excellent. It uses the original bolts from each side of the diff on the axle and is great, much better than the first hitch I purchased which clamped around the axle itself and resulted in the hitch being offset to one side...useless.

When the hitch arrived it also stated LTZ250/Ozark on it!

 

Thanks, I did see an Ozark axle housing yesterday and noticed it did have a couple of welded on tabs that the Z250 doesn't have.
Sorry you had to buy two to get it right, but you will save me the trouble.
