My lt4wd has a problem with the starter clutch I think. The starter motor does not work it needs a rebuild. I have been pull starting since i got it 2 weeks ago. Sometimes when i pull it you can feel it engange something with the pull start.

Im in the process of taking it apart now because it locks up and you cant start the engine. Has anyone else had this problem or anyone know what it could be?

you do know mabout the compression release valve right?

 

I know about that i think its the starter clutch. When i pulled the starter rope it made a whining noise. I shouldnt have run it but i did. I only made the noise when i pulled the rope. I have it half apart but its too cold out this week.
