i mix my gas for the LT at 20:1, but that most likely is not your problem, i got my fuel mixture ratio out of the Clymer's manual for the LT

I don't know what oil you're using, but I would read the back of the bottle and go by the oil manufacturer's recommended ratio.

ok i got some specs from the manual/clymers.... main jet stock on a mikuni carb is a 240 stock (87+)... needle in the 3rd clip position... this is for your altitude in general. unless your running a kihein carb you are very lean... still looking for compresion specs. its not obvious in the TOC and i just don't have the time to read through the chapters right now... i will post it as soon as i find it.

According to another thread, about 120 lbs for compression.

i have 160 lbs compression but thats with 2 tanks gas through total rebuild. if it bwas me i would put shot gas in plug hole try to start if no luck i would definately pull the left side case cover over mag and pull the mag wheel off and look at that woodruff key on crank that holds flywheel in place. sometimes it doesnt sheer the key all way just tweeks it and that little bit will make it slightly retarded and it will backfire/kick back at ya when kicking and wont start.

the woodruff key was a problem i had with my last Lt, it to had the same symptoms

na..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] i lost compression!!! i think i might have a broken ring..i don't understand it i just rebuilt it over the summer2..well guess i gotta do it again...any 1 know what size jet's i should use and air srew>? and should i take my air box off..? should i get g-force reeds>?
