the 05 cat did not get the same upgrades, cept for the front aluminum bumper...the 05 Cat is last years Z400 ... I have one though... and i couldnt be happier
And even with the larger carb, and hotter cam change, and the extra clutch plate ect..... only made the Z400 a tenth faster than the other clones

Z-400 or DVX 400?
Ummm, no I don't think so. Why would a company who spends hundreds of thousands a year testing products add a shock that is costlier to produce, and mount, just to downgrade the suspension? The 03-04 shocks are too soft, and not up to par with the rear. They bottom too much and you crack out the frame.
