my buddy has a 1986 we just redid er from the ground up completly i was just wonderin what the stock hp for it would be. its not stock but we wanna bore er' out and put a racing cam in er so we need the base hp to make a rough estimate

Stock hp on an lt230e, and the lt230s is right around 12. If modified you can sqeeze maybe 16.

 

you can get more out of it that 16

 

Maybe if built to the hilt with the full FST kit, unruly cam, and high compression. But the bottom end won't hold up to that much power for long.

 

stock is 12 hp. i had one pretty pumped up years back. they can run pretty damn good !!! it had a wb fast off-road cam,10.25 piston,open box,rejetted ...of course, full coffman exhaust,roost boost. that thing wheelied like mad!!! lots of fun to play on. the front tires were only on the ground to turn the way i rode it. not fast ...but powerfull. freaky amount of torque for such a small motor. it was fun. kinda confined though. it climbed some mean hills. one time i was in sticky mud .....i goosed it and it flipped backwards instead of puking out!!!!lol i was covered in that stinky $hit. my buddys were laughing like mad!! watch the bearings very closely.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
