I have just bought a new Suzuki Vinson 500 Limited Edition Automatic and after only driving it for a few hours it won't idle when I release the throttle. It will stall out on me. The weather is approximately -5 Celcius. Can anybody give me advise on what the problem might be? It'll still run, just won't idle.

Did it idle ok when you got it, was it that cold ? might be a little lean to idle at that temp.

 

I don't know if 2005 is like the 03 but my vinson has a idle ajust under the tank, its very easy I use it.

 

It idled OK when I got it and it even started good. Now when I take my thumb off the throttle it stalls out.

 

Thanks for the advise. I will check to see if there is an idle switch under the tank.

 

It's not a switch it's a **** that comes off the carb.
