2003 Vinson Front Shaft removal

Are any special tools needed to remove the front axle? Snapped the outer CV joint this weekend. Thanks

2003 Vinson Front Shaft removal

Remove the nut on the end of the axle, the upper and lower ball-joint nut and bolts, then the axle will pop out with a good jerk or pry it out.

best thing to do is to get yourself right infrount of it, and just give it 1 or 2 good yanks and it will pull right out. while the axle is out stuff you towels in the hole so the frount diff fluid doesnt run out....and if you havent changed it now is a good time.
