Hi, I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if any body out there could help me out. I have read that the KQ is wired already from factory to allow a reverse light to be mounted and also extra front lights. I have found a set of pigtails behind the plastic I.R.S cover but when I tested the wires the positive would light up as soon as the key was turned on. I thought that the light was supposed to go on only when you put it in reverse. Is there something that i'm missing here? Do you have to put in a switch? Also is it true that the KQ has the wiring for extra front lights? If so, Where would I find them? Any pics or comments would be greatly apprecaited

 

i heard that they are for a trailer, did you roll or wreck it yet with the crappy steering?

 

No not yet but close a couple of times. In the snow it's really bad

 

I found the rev. light leads on top of the storage box.

 

Yeah I found the pigtails there also, I guess i'll have to go and buy some lights and connect them and see if it lights up only when in reverse. Any body know if there is front pigtails for extra lights, I found a set of pigtails up behind the rad but seem as though there was no power when i tested with a test light with the key and lights on. Maybe there is a set of pigtails that I just haven't found. I thought the KQ was pre wired for the suzuki bumper with the warn lights. Any body have that bumper with lights help me!!!:

 

Ive done the reverse light thing, there are some pics in my sig. I have read there are pig tails for the front but have not checked. Oh ya my reverse light only comes on when in reverse.

the front lights hook up at the pigtails near the radiator. I believe the orange is switched hot. Check my website for the wiring diagram.
