Question on the 230E carb. The factory manual says to set the clip on the venturi needle in the 4th position. However, it doesn't show you which is the 4th position. Is it closer to the point (i.e, bottom), or to the top? Basically, I don't know what they consider the 1st position and the 5th position.

For the quadsport 230, luckily it is supposed to be set in the 3rd position which is in the middle either way so I've never had a problem there.

yea i just looked through two different manuals i have for 2 different bikes and neither one of them tell ya which position is which....just show ya a picture of the needle with which way to go for lean and which way for rich. I guess take a wild guess and see how it runs??? Atleast it's not that hard to change if your first guess is wrong!!! lol goodluck!
