Default KQ Problems

I have had the King for a few months now and when we go threw muskeg in low gear if you try to pin it it just bogs down. It should not do that. I brought it to the dealer and they said tey couldn't find anything wrong and charged us 200 bucks. We have 26' mudlites all round since new. Whats going on, it just doesn't seem to have the power that it should.

If you have the diffy lock turned on, the ECM (electronic control module) limits the speed(RPMs) of the engine by retarding the timing. I suppose to keep people from killing themselves and others. This should happen for forward and reverse. You can override it by pressing the "override" button located at the bottom of the left hand control (directly below the starter button). If I remember right, it's grey in color. My rigs in the shed right now, so I'm not going to run out and look.

Trying hitting the throttle hard in an open area in 2WD, 4WD, and Diff Lock. It should only run rough in Diff Lock. Then try the same thing while pressing the override button. If it still bogs down (runs rough), take it back and demand a little work for the $200 bucks your dealer took from you.

Good luck!!!

Also, how do you like the 26" mudlites? I just bought a set and i'm putting them on tomorrow, but can't really stress test them until mid Sept. I hope they're worth all the "$frog pelts" I had to drop on them.

Have you serviced your air filter, changed spark plug, use fresh gas?
