Sticky clutch on KQ 700
#1
After putting on about 100 miles in very dusty conditions, I noticed every once in awhile when I would take off, I would hear a yelp from my belt. Upon removing the belt cover I noticed everything was real dusty. It appears the clutch is a little sticky and does not always compress like it should when RPMs are raised. Has anyone else had this problem, and what is involved with pulling the clutch apart for cleaning. I am sure the dust has caused this sticking problem. It works fine 99% of the time and will not slip at all once I am moving.

MY KQ MAKES THAT SQUELCH SOUND EVERY ONCE IN A WILE. I HAVE 1200 MILES ON IT. IT USUALLY MAKES THAT SOUND WHEN I COME TO A QUICK STOP. I HAVE TAKEN OFF MY BELT COVER BUT I DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING IN THERE. NOT EVEN BELT DUST. I USED SOME WD40 AND IT SEEMED TO HELP. I'M SURE THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO USE. BUT POOR PEOPLE HAVE POOR WAYS I'M SURE SOMONE WILL ALSO REPLY AND TELL US WHAT TO USE.
