I am 60 years old and my DS may be setting me up for a fall. I am thinking about a sport 4x4. The King Quad and the Bomb 800 are a the top of the list with the Kawa 700 there also. I would appreciate any experiences you might have or opinions. Thanks.

i would go with the bomb 800, no questions asked, i have the KQ 700 and have been very disappointed with it, had it less than a week and the 4x4 servo motor went out, in shop for over 2 weeks, KQ also lacks power in the bottom end, but if you want to try the KQ i would sell you mine and i will go out and buy the Bomb 800, i was told by local bombardier dealer the outlander has 65 HP, my KQ has less than 30HP, this in a no brainer

It's a no brainer if power is the only thing thats important.I personally would let them build that Bomb for a year or two. There was already a recall for a primary clutch issue. The KQ has been out for a year and look at the changes in it already. They ALL have recalls....even mighty Honda has not been immune from them.
If A cushy ride is not that important then I would strongly consider the P700.On the trail you will run with anything!.
It's been around a while now and has things like a sealed rear brake (no work) and personally I think the best diff lock operation around. You can grab it when you want....not stop and turn it on then and it's not speed limited.
Good luck

It really depends on what you want to spend and whether or not you want the best. The Bombardier 800 efi is the BEST Big bore sport ute on the market right now, but it's price is the biggest as well. I got the King Quad and it's not given me a problem, I really do like it, the lack of power on the bottom end of the King Quad is do to Suzuki detuning it for saftey reasons, but there is supposed be a fix for this early next year from what I've been told that will unleash ALL the King's power, and it's only at the extreme low end, 0-9mph, other than this I love my King Quad and considering the price difference between it and the Bombardier it's tough to recommend spending the extra $1500+...but if you want the undisputed leader in power of the Big bores you should get the Bombardier 800 because not only is it 800cc vs. 695cc, it's 62hp vs. 30hp, so it is like twice the power if you look at raw numbers.

The Bomb needs the extra power to carry its weight......I am completely satisfied with my KQ.....How about a suzuki Samarai..not much difference in weight?

my uncle has a king quad and he likes it. i took it for a ride and it has alote of grunt too it, i mean it has more then enough power for a 4+4 and also looks really trick and has a headlight on the handelbars, out let for a spot light or any portable ac/dc plug in the oil filter is easiy acces also the spark plug too. But if it was my choice i would go with the bomb 800. Because i have watched a tv special with all the big bore 4+4s having a test against eachother and the bomb 800 came out on top and also has the highest top speed and h/p out of all its competition. And it looks pretty kool too. But performance wise i would go with the 8oo but for the price i would go with the king quad. The bomb also comes with a which and a whole bunch of other stuff for the upgraded version and u can get it in camo if ur a hunter. So if i had about $8600 i would probably go with the Bombardier Outlander 800.Hope this helps you!

I bought my King Quad in July, and it is an awesome machine. About 2 weeks ago, after hearing all of the hype of the Bomb 800, I thought I would check them out. After all you know the old saying " he who dies with the most toys wins". First off, the 800 frame is a joke. I think my kids tricycle has a better frame than the 800. Also there is no belly protection underneath. I took it out for a drive, expecting this thing to really be a powerhouse. After a half a block, I turned around and drove back to the dealer and thanked him for his time. I still can't figure out why anyone would pay up to $3000 more for less of a machine. Sure you hear of the low end lag on the KQ, but lets get real. Unless I am drag racing ( which I don't), this is a totaly mute point. My recommendation is to try both and see for yourself what is best for you.

How much more is the Bomb? I paid nearly $7,000 otd for my KQ.

The new motor is, at least, another $1,000.

Not to mention, I've owned my KQ for 6 months and it's been sitting at the dealership, waiting for Suziki to approve the engine rebuild, for one month.

I'd wait another year and buy the bomb. Suzuki has a poor warrenty.
