King quad lowing blue smoke

If you purchased the king new, what about the 6 month warrenty that the machine came with.
I would talk to suzuki before I shelled out $2,200.00.
The king quad is a good machine that came with a junk POS air filter.
I have read posts that suzuki has taken care of problems out of warrenty for people. Rapidrobert137

Bozo,
Sounds like you need to try a little higher up on the food chain at Suzuki. For the price of the motor you can have a good lawyer take care of it for you. Suzuki knows of the problem and when pushed they have fixed motors for people with the same problem.
Thanks
David

Bozo, not an uncommon problem with the KQ, I have two, and my first one died at around 1600 miles - no question an air filter problem according to the dealer. Repairs were made at no cost to me, and they threw in an Uni foam filter for both bikes. I now have a combined mileage of about 3000 miles on the bikes and they have been trouble free. I would buy again without hesitation.
If I were in your shoes, I would read all the msg strings on the site, and print each one the related to this problem. I would send copies of these msg's, and your repair bill to American Suzuki customer service, and copy to your State Consumer Affairs Office, usually under the State Att. Generals Office. A little time on the internet and you can get this info.
I had a problem with a low life insurance company one time that shall go unnamed, and the only way I could get resolution to a very unjust decision on their part was to keep writting letters with documentation of their error to the President of the Company (got his name and address on the internet). It worked!

I was woundering with all of your problems if you delt with water in the clutch or valve noise or any of that stuff. My dealer told my this is his first complaint on that and that suzuki never heard of this before. Someone is blowing smoke up somebody's a##. thanks Aaron

Aaron, Water getting into the clutches was one of the first problems I had. The only way to fix it is to extend the snorkel. I dont understand why everyone else I rode with had no problems with water. The people I ride with ride every brand out there and I'm the only one with problems

As a Suzuki & Arctic dealer i tell everyone that the rear clutch vent is a deep water problem and if you are in deep water you have to snorkle the rear vent. Suzuki has a "high performance filter" for the king Quad that resolves the problem and again I tell every customer.

I talked to my friend today that has a KQ that is blowing smoke so bad it looks like he is fogging for mosquitoes. His dealer has been giving him the run around about it. Told him the last time he could fix it but it wouldn't be under warranty and would cost some insane amount like 2800 bucks or something. So this week after much bitching the dealer told him he called Suzuki and he said they had never head of any problems with the air filters causing damage to the engine. I think he's lying but on the other hand he's dealing with Suzuki.
He's going to try another dealer to see what happens. Poor guy has got hosed over and over on that machine.
