finally got the 230 running

well i finally got the ol sport running w/ the new motor rebuild and new suspension and got out for a ride before the snow landed around here. brand new rebuild, first hour easy on the throttle type riding...
holy schmoly! this thing's gonna tear UP!!!
Mummz The Word Racing did an awesome build.
there's a list of the mods on my page plus a couple of new pics. ran out of good weather so i didn't get the new fenders on.

yeah, it was pure luck finding that swingarm on ebay. the fit and finish is really nice. way, way stronger than the stocker.
Joe, i'm putting Maier black fenders on it. lots of folks complain about maier plastic not lining up but i had no problems.

I got the Maier plastic from Rocky Mountain ATV. they were as cheap as anyone else.
prolly not gonna have any pics with the fenders on 'til spring. it's sitting in a cold garage a half hr away from my warm house. i hate winter in Iowa.....

my friend had a 1991 230 that thing ran good with a piece of crap pipe...(cobra) my 250 beat it though...he blamedthe shifter even though we raced 4 times....my 250 tears it up in acceleration....but n e wayz congrats on the rebuild.....good luck on fenders [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
