Keep in mind you cant just go grinding on a head without knowing what you are doing. I have ported many heads as i have access to a flow bench so i have done a little testing and research. I have done many automobile heads, a few briggs 5hp heads and I have a little practice on my friends klx110 pit bike before i did my z250 head. This atv is probably one of the easiest to work on which is how i pulled the head off, ported it, and put it back on and was riding in less than 4 hours. The only thing I can tell you is if you can't port it yourself or know someone who can, you can send it to me and i'll do it for $100. you'll need to send your head pipe to because it has weld protruding into the pipe.

I might take you up on that offer and send you my head to get ported with a new cam after I get back from Mud Nationals. If that is, if I don't blow the motor out there!!

I just won an auction for a small IHI RHB5 turbo. I am currently looking at what all it would take to install it on my Ozark.
Yes, it is a bit too big for this motor
Yes, it will have lots of lag
Yes, it will be a PITA to tune
Yes, it will slow the quad down when not in boost
But, it will be sweet when/if I get it on there and running!! There aren't very many turbo quads out there, and out of all the ones you will find, you won't find any 250 cc turbo quads.
btw, I am not new to turbocharging and I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get it to spool quicker.

A turbo would be cool if you could get it to work. the things you'll run into (literally) is that damn rev limiter, and from what i hear turbos don't work too well with a single cylinder engine. They need multiple exhaust pulses. You could use a chamber in the exhaust before the turbo and that would smooth out the pulses enough to make it work. If you could do anything to make the turbo rotate easier and make the rotating parts lighter that would help too. I have actually considered putting a turbo on mine but i don't feel like getting a headache. By the way, anyone wanna buy a Yoshimura Slip on for their z250? I'll let it go for about a hundred bucks with shipping.
