didnt know about the frame though...guess i better take a better look at it...

i ride hard, but i do mostly cross contry riding with not alot of jumps... so i guess it depends on what you want it for...

have had my 04 since Nov. of 03 brand new and no problems what so ever and I don't baby it ,[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I agree it depends on the type of riding you do. If your doing multiple jumps and such, I would think it would be wise to gusset any frame that is going to handle that kind of stress.

I don't baby my 2003 either. Never had any problems with it besides the parking brake. The EARLY 2003 models had problems with the frame and the axles, but thats about it.

i have only one problem with the 04s and that's the chain adjustment...horrible bolt positioning and stuff like that...but other than that 04 is a good year
