got new pics up in my album. the rolling chasis probly wont happen by Saturday. Got distracted riding a 250s that i might buy for $400.00 with no damage done to it. frames a lil bent but the engine is strong.

heres a pic of the swinger for the Mistress 2.0.

no its called Mistress 2.0. i just used some leftover vinyls and cut that out. i couldnt come up with a design for the neame that i liked. i tried using different letter styles just couldnt get it. it says full floater because the rear suspension fully floats now. i install needle bearings in everything, no more bushings in the shock.

if anyone has an 87 lt230s i have an extended swinger for that year only and it'll fit an 88 too. it came with one of my new parts quads. its about a 3 inch extension if anyone is interested.

My vote is the Primary Drive "windowed" standard chain from Rockymountainatv. Its cheap, light, and about as frictionless as you'll find. I've been running the same chain for,,, hmmm,,, 2-3 yrs now? (I'd have to dig back about 500 posts and see when I started raving about it). Of course, I don't ride everyday, but still... All I do is make sure the chain is always wet with oil. When it dries out, I just slide the floor jack under the axle and lube it up with my trusty oil can. One of my simple joys in life is spinning the rear wheels and watching them continue to spin without any needless friction slowing them down. I'm such a gearhead

An o-ring and x-ring chain will slow you down. How much is debatable, but the chains are heavier and have MUCH more friction. On the plus side you don't have to oil them before every ride.

x-ring is better than o-ring. 1) it has less friction. 2) it has 2 sealing surfaces to keep dirt out and oil in. Ah heck... just read this Facts you should no about Motorcycle Chains!

The 250 crank is the same stroke as the 230, but the rod is longer on the 250. If you put a 250 crank and rod in a 230 case, you'll have to bring the 250 jug along as well... not only because the jug is taller, but the rod is 1mm bigger on the small end for a bigger wrist pin and those pistons start at 68.5 mm... 0.5mm bigger than the biggest bore a 230 jug will handle without resleeving.

4th gear is different in the 250. There isn't the big gap between 3rd and 4th that the 230 has.

Btw, the guy across the street has a 250s and the engine is junk (bad crank and rod bearings, etc from prolonged abuse and never changing the oil). I think the plan is to buy another engine (a 230 probably) and junk the one that's in it. So, if anyone wants a 250 engine to totally rebuild.... and I do mean totally lol

Do you still need that table?

The best I can figure from the USPS website from 30721 to 43812 for a 40lb package is $41. I can't get a quote from UPS for ground freight, but 2nd day air is $87.

The engine will need everything though... You'll have to send the crank off to vince for rod bearings. Every bearing on the inside is questionable at best and the crank bearings don't roll, the outter race slides inside the hole in the case! The cam chain is stretched and a valve guide is broken. Even the cam has little wear marks on it. Its remarkable that it does still run, though not for long. It will idle nicely and then its as if you threw a wrench in it, the way it locks up. Then you have to put it in gear, roll it backwards hard enough to free it up, then it will run again for a bit.
