What is the "h" for? I can't find anything that has to do with an "eh". Does anyone out there have a clue?
The H designates the 1987 model year.

lt230sh = 1987 quadsport 230
lt230eh = 1987 quadrunner 230

If this is true then let me say thank you for putting something like that together. It is really cool to see that there are a lot of other people out there just like me that truly love a quadsport. I feel that it is the best all around quad that has ever been made.
The Vault is a colaboration of several different atvconnection.com members. here is the link to the company i bought my stickers from, you'll have to go through their ebay store to find the color of decals you want: Sticker Decal Emblem Graphics Kit for LT230 LT 230 Quad Sport Plastic BLUE | eBay

and trust me i know what the Vaukt means to you. it helped me out tons, then when atvman29 went to college he elected me to keep it going.

Thanks to both of you for the info. This sight is the most helpful thing that I have found for us quadsport fans.

So I started at the first and I'm going to read everyone, I am up to #280 and I have some questions. There has been a lot of talk about the front and rear ends on what will fit from other quads to get more width and more options of after market parts. The problem is that all of the answers are left open and not truly answered. On the front end the talk is that a 400ex and quadracer 250 can be used with minimal modification. On the rear the talk is the a 400ex, quadracer 250 and trx450r can be used again with minimum mods. These would be great but all of the answers are left open. Does anyone out there know if these will work? I know, once again I am showing my ignorance.

Ok here is another one I can't figure out. In the last post on Page 280 gforce34 talks about a must have part, it is a ct99 chain tensioner sold on ebay for $40 but when I went to ebay and searched for it the only thing that I could find was the cam chain tensioner. I would love to have a chain tensioner to do away with ccos. Anyone know what he might be talking about?

I think I asked this question a while back but can't remember. Is there any way I can transform my auto-clutch to a manual clutch without having to get a whole new engine?

no they are 2 completely different engines.

and as for the tensioner: this thread is really old most parts talked about earlier in the thread are not made any more

i know a 300ex swinger can be made to fit a 230 quadsport but it hasn't been done in a while.

front end: the lt250s a arms will fit with little mods the 250 quadracer has only a few interchangeable parts: frear axle, rear hubs, front shocks
all the interchangeable parts list can be found in the Vault

Thanks trailrider. I figured the engines would be different so I wasn't sure. As far as the tensioner goes, will I be okay as long as I make sure the chain is adjusted correctly and the bearings are okay or is it just doomed? That ducks on the front end cause it would really make this quad unbeatable, you would think that at least one company out there would make everything aftermarket for all of these old quads cause there is a huge following. At least with the 250 racer parts fitting the rear you can have all kinds of aftermarket parts back there. How much wider are the 250s a-arms?

Hey trailrider, I am planning on running hare scrambles. All I know is that you need a-arms,engine and swingarms skid plates. Do you think I can get lucky and get away without them? Even though they are made of aluminum it still adds weight.
