Nice going on the swing arm stretch. How did you do yours?
The stock carb is a 26mm Round slide. When I was looking for an upgrade I called the folks at White Brothers.
What they recommended was a 28mm Flat slide unit. It was of their opinion that any larger of a carb on the 230 would just be to much.
I would recommend looking into the flat slide carbs. Their design helps them flow more air, which means more power. If you decide to go with the 28mm flat, I should still have the part numbers and jet sizes you will need.
But id see what I could do about that pipe first if I were you
P.S. I think their is repair parts still out there for the stock carb. Check out Bike Bandit. You may be able to fix the one you have and rejet it for more performance.
Good Luck.

To stretch my swingarm i cut it right behind the shock mount and added 4 inches. I did it the cheap way. I gave 75 for the swingarm on ebay and 3.00 for the material to stretch it and welded it myself. Can you still fit the stock airbox on one of them 28mm flat slide carbs.

The 28mm Mikuni Flat slide utilizes all the stock air plenium. You need only "trim a little material off the top edge of the manifold" so it will fit.
If you want, I can send pics.
I quote my White Brothers installation instructions. Part # 15-355.

Man, I dont know. I dont think ive ever seen one.
Ahh, But hope is not lost. You can still get larger jets for your carb. With an aftermarket filter and pipe, you should be able to get the performance your looking for. I would start with a larger main jet. Maybe 2 or 3 sizes larger.
Oh, and by the way. WHAT do mean........lil?

FYI.
I run into an old acquaintance today. His father owned the shop I was using while I was building my 230.
I asked him if they still had the 230's in there bone yard. He told me he wold check and get back to me.
I know for a fact that the last time I was there, I seen at least two 230 Q.S.'s. (Complete) they were both victims of C.C.O.S.
I asked him to make me an offer on any 230 stuff he could find.

I may be able to hook you up with that caliper before long. What is wrong with yours, if you have one?
More Latter.

It sounds like you have bent some suspension component/s, a tie rod maybe. Is the caliper itself damaged? Or did a brake line get damaged?
The caliper can be rebuilt cheaply if it dosnt need replacement pistons or the caliper body is not bent.
Am I even close?
