My frame is back to bare steel, and will be powder coated by tomorrow... 260cc is melted, so... bored over?? with my choice of cams is this incarnation...

Built a "construction table" last weekend. Took a 2' by 5' staniless steel door from an old comertial grade cooler for the top, used 4x4 treated lumber for the legs and support. And left over 1x6 decking for braces. It should be easy to keep clean during reconstruction of the 230 bottom.
When im finished, it could double as a foundation for the new shop addition I guess[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

The stainless top sounds cool. The only thing that would concern me is denting it. Should hold up to anything else though. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

You could take apart a $90 table saw from sears and mount the saw part on your new table. Then you'd have a huge table saw! That's what I did with a sheet of MDF.

 

Ive got one of those saws, Hmm.
I do plan on useing it as a work station for a miter saw. It will spend its life outside in the elements as a potting bench or greasy parts table or..etc. etc. I figure the treated lumber and stainless top should last, even in this southern climate, for years. I got about $40.00 in it, so i forcast my R.O.I. as high.

Yeah, denting the top is a concern of mine as well. the thin material will not take a lot of abuse. Maybe a scrape piece of 1/8" plywood, or maybe some dimond plate? Yeah, dimondplate!!!!! that would make for a cool work table.

 

Need some kind of hard backing for the stainless to stop the denting. Maybe some MDF or HDF???? Can't get that stuff wet though.... It will swell up like a balloon.

Diamond plate would be good except for all the little bumps. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] But, then again, all the little bumps stops stuff from rolling off the table too. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Gotta break out the calipers, but I have a couple of bores to choose from.
Got pistons for days, and cams as well.

Hoping a hone will cover it.

Gotta put together a complete wiring harness before I even thing about the engine.... Baby steps....Dang I hate those!

Just a good thing you don't need much wire. No battery and maybe 1 headlight..... Hell,,,, I rode with no headlight for about 6 months, lol. Usually at night a bust out the ute with 5 headlights! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
