Yes they fit perfect. Cut 1/4" off each side of bearing sleeve and use 230 bearings and seals. 1 guy on ebay has them seperate but he wants $80.00 each and his shipping is crazy. But I got the 3 for under $40.00 I have to think on this. I also thought about doin what you did to my 230 ones and resell. And santa brought my all new Maier plastic.

It looks like an 86 (or 85) from your pics. I know mine is 86.... I wonder why the difference?

I never stop learning new stuff about these things.

Cool. I was wondering if that would work just that easy. What did/will you do about the brake lines and tie rods?

I remember sahzookie and I remember donor bikes, but I can place the two together. My memory never was any good and now I'm getting older too.

Still thinking about brake lines. Lengthen tie rod, just cut and weld. I hate to bother but I may pm sahzookee as a last resort.

Just so you know, weld those tie rods together REALLY well. I had a weld break on me. First weld I've ever had fail. There's something in all that bouncing that fatigues the weld.

Having a tie rod break is no big deal as it turns out. I can actually take a tie rod off and still ride around just fine. The loose wheel just steers itself (unless you go backwards). Not too good for jumping though.

LOL, I imagine not. I don't have the equipment I once did but I used to do alot of fabrication in a railcar repair shop and my son in law has the equip and he sells specialty welding supplies. Got some special rod for them tie rods.

Maybe annealing the weld will help too.

Hey have any of you tried the Dial-a-Jet on the wheelers? Seems like a pretty sweet deal and it has received pretty rave reviews. Its just a little pricey.

Where do I start for getting this thing jetted right with the new pipe?

PoolGod swears by the dial a jet. I bought one for the 32mm carb project as a way of getting more gas in, but so far its not enough. I'm going to try a different needle-jet when the weather warms. As far as the dial a jet goes, I guess it works.... But so far I haven't seen it with my own eyes.

If you're having severe carb problems due to the pipe and to airbox/filter mods, you should get a set of "wire gauge drill bits" and drill the jets out till it runs right. Otherwise you'll spend a fortune in a bunch of jets you'll never use.
