Go look over at the "Town Square" of thumpertalk. Half of them are the "sky is falling soon" type and they've been talking since last fall about stocking up because Obama is going to do this or that. Gold too. Might as well throw canned goods in the mix... But anyway, yeah, those types sucked the shelves dry. Demand is crazy... Afterall, look at the prices everybody is paying and they're paying it.
They said the same thing happened in the 90's when Clinton was first elected. I was too young and preoccupied to care about politics at the time, so I don't remember, but nobody ever contests it when its said.

so u just did a straight shifter right out of the motor, no linkage, right?
my friend has his set up like that and its not bad. but he modified a cheep chinese shifter and it looks like crap. if i could get a fancy looking short shifter with the right splines (maybe like a sunline xr50r shifter), i might just be in business!

I actually considered selling some guns last fall, since everybody was bidding the price up. Nothing special, just some extra old sportsterized hunting rilfes.
