Check out the links page in the vault. I think I put a link in there to a company that offers a pretty decent amount of 230 bolt-on accessories. One of them may have been a skid plate. The name of the company is evading me right now though.

I'll check the vault too but it'll take me a minute since I'm on my phone.

Yeah check out the link to PRM in the Vault. They have a skid for the 230. I've heard they make some real nice stuff too.

wow! Sounds like a rough day. Hopefully you weren't counting on a trade-in! Although with how the dealer I traded my 230 to looked mine over, you could prolly just throw some tape over it and call it good!

Are all 250 cams the same? Looking at doing a possible swap for one on the 230 for some more power. Didnt know if the later ones may be ground different or something.

All cams are different. There are so many tiny measurements on them it could easily make your head spin.

Check the specs page in the vault for the Cam Info link.

Here's a funny story for you guys.

My cousin had been trying to sell his 250X since I got my DVX (because I could own him) and last week he was able to sell it for $1100. Not a bad price considering the fair condition. But it did have one glaring issue, second gear was trashed. So to explain this to the dad looking for his 13 year old son, my cousin told him that his dad had taken it out when he was younger (he's had the ATV for just under a year) because "second gear is such a dangerous gear." I know it makes no sense at all but the guy actually was agreeing and like "oh yeah, no kidding, that is just a very scary gear." So the guy handed over the $1100 in cash and took the wheeler! lol Don't feel too bad though because it was a really nice clean wheeler. And it runs just fine w/o second. I'm sure his son will be happy with it.

Even without 2nd, my cousin could still beat me on my 230 in a drag race. Although that could be because I suck at quick starts.

But today I found him an 03 Predator in what looks to be great shape for $1600. My cousin called and offered him $1300 and he took it. So hopefully everything goes good and he'll have it before the end of the week!

Randy was saying that 250 cams are bit more agressive, and for the money it was an easy upgrade, rather than buy a couple hundred dollar aftermarket one. I only ask because ebay has one from I think an 87, and then one from a 92. Just wondering if they were different at all.
