He was referring to the LT250S. The model that succeeded the 230s. What model is the one you're looking at off of?

Grr.. Well I got the new carb. I made sure when I ordered it I cross chacked the spigot and other dimensions with the stock one, and it matches. Just put the throttle cable on and went to hook it up, and the damn intake side of the carb is smaller in diamter than the stock 230 one! The airbox hose will fit, but I can't bolt it to the head???? Ideas?

Could you cut away enough of the material from the inside to make it work? Maybe heating the rubber up a little could help.

hmmm... i always thought that size was pretty standard between most similarly sized vm's and tm's. how far off is it? the stock mount should be pretty stretchy, and as atvman said, a *little* heat may help things along.

for your cam, your best bet is the LT250S cam, since other aftermarket ones require fancy valve springs and hardfaced rockers. you can still get the 250s cam new from suzuki. you can try ebay, but there really arent a whole lot of lt250's out there, since they were only produced for 2 years.

If it was to big that would be one thing, its actually SMALLER than the stock carb?? I don't get it! What quads had the 28 flat slides? Mabie an intake boot from one of them would fit.

None of the old ones had flat slides, all round. BigMc the originator of the thread, got us hooked on them. Takes some tuning, I suck at it BTW, but once it is dialed, it is far and above better than the 30 , or whatever it is, round slide!

Yah my stock carb was a round slide. I just upgraded to the flat slide. Did you have a problem getting yours to bolt on? What did it come off of?

I think we all bought tm28's of of bikebandit, so they weren't "off" of anything in particular.
Jetting them to each of our 230's was quite an adventure.... If you go back far enough, there are jetting specs for many situations. Randal defenatily did a TON of research...
