wow this 230 thread is enormous!

Has anyone ever ran into a problem where they changed the rear brakes and it seems as if the pads are too thick and are clinging to the rotor?

They barely fit in the assembly, but now I can barely push the sucker, is there anywhere for an adjustment?

Changing disc pads on a car or ATV require the use of a C-clamp to push the piston down in the bore enough to install the new pads and get it around the rotor. Once the new pads are on and the brakes pressed, the piston will center/adjust itself to the correct height.

I c-clamped the piston, installed the new ones, but its super tight! Nothing to adjust then I take it?

Hmm you made sure the piston was bottomed all the way out, and both pads were expanded as far as they can go on the sliders? Have you worked the brakes a few time and driven it yet? May need to seat itself.

in my other post I saw a lever attached to the carb and just thought it was the compression relief lever but it was mounted in a funny spot..on my carb I have a cable attached to the choke that runs to the handlebars..apparently on sports they have a lever, I didnt know.
