alright guys i ran into a problem i cant get anymore tension on my chain well i could if i didnt have my back break caliper on, i had a 40" pipe wrench on it and it wouldnt jar it, but if i took the caliper off then i can get the right tension on it. any sudjestons? thanks

lol, the craigslist ad says "new rear tires." I have a feeling that that was the only mod this owner did!!

How is the caliper causing you trouble? I can't really think of how that would be causing it not to move. You could always try to take out a link depending on how much slack you can get in it. Only take out one at a time though, it shortens it up a lot more than you'd think (or I thought anyways).

without the brake on my swing arm the mounts would move around when i would put tension on the chain but in order to get back breaks i needed to loosen the chain again. i didnt really get it either but thats how it is, i might have to take a link out, as much as i dont want to

Strange, I'm having a hard time picturing it in my head, but then again, I haven't been getting enough sleep.

If you don't want to, or don't have the tools to break your chain, a dealer would do it for you for fairly cheap. I had a dealer do mine when I got my new chain for $10.

yea my dealer charged me 93 dollars can for just a head pipe for the 230

thats dumb. I hate bad dealers. unfortunately, most of them are.

sounds to me like the rear caliper bracket is siezed on to the carrier?
