85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
I have "thought" I was going to get a 250r as well, many times... except here in the peoples republic of California, 2 stokes can only be in the forests a very limited time of the year (my favorite place to ride) AND me and my buddies tend go for extremly LONG rides. 2 strokes aren't exactly known for there fuel economy.
still am a very impulsive tool!! So, never say never! I take the trike every once in a while just for that adrenilin rush of 2 stroke (holy ****) speed! But the consistent torque of 4 stroke is the way to go!

Hey guys anybody tried or heard of anyone using this.....
http://www.xrsonly.com/content..._virtuemart&Itemid=77
Though BigMc has tried to "give/pawn off" his twister on most of us!!
The old MX guy in me can see the benefits and the downside and upside to both a twist throttle and a thumb! Why not have both? Twist for the ballz out straights, thumber for the tight trails?
Do I need to be the experiment? Or do ya'll know of someone with experience?

theres 3 seats on ebay</end quote></div>
thanx for the info..i saw them and will end up purchasing one..
Good news.. the 230E started up..took awhile but it started..need to adjust the idle, it will not stay on its own..
I do have a problem with the brakes...i flushed the lines out and tried to let out all the air but now the brakes wont work, i used dot3 for brake fluid (that is recommended on 230E) the brakes were working before i did this..any solutions are greatly appreciated...

If doing the rears you must hold down the brake pedal before tighting the nipple as well with the fronts. As for the fronts hold in the handle before tighting both the right and left brake nipples. This should work, normally people find they didn't have pressure before tighting everything up. Sometimes you do need to pump the air through several times before that final one. One trick is to remove the lid off the resevior and watch until all the bubbles have come out, this may take several times of repeating over and over again but if theres any air they won't work and at the very least they will be spungy. This is the only thing I can think of if they did indeed work before. Let us know.

another way to bleed the brake would be to get a hose that will fit over the bleeder nipple and long enough to reach a full bottle of brake fluid and pump the peddle or lever air will escape when pressed and will suck in fluid when released. do that until the air bubbles stop ,tighten the nipple before you pull the hose out of the bottle. good luck! glad to here the 230e is running!
