Atvman
Yeah it might work. if i can get a basic setup idea together maybe we could colaborate on it. Maybe even market it. I am trying to make it universal for all quads but designed originally for the 230.

Lootinlenny,
Thats cool if your gonna bore it out but i dont really need the extra jug and head just thought maybe someone could use it. i wouldn't have needed much for it.

hey trailrider, i might be interested in that jug (i've been wanting to make an LT273S for a while now but i dont wanna sleeve my only jug), how much would you want for it?

and as far as 250r -> 230s parts interchangeability, there's a metric **** ton of parts that will swap, but sadly its a no-go on the fenders. the mounting points are wayyy different since the r has much wider spaced frame rails and a radiator up front...

tire valve caps, brake fluid, grips. just kidding hahaha.

hmm well lets see...

lower ball joints
a-arm bushings
tie rod ends
front shocks can be made to work
85-87.5 axles + axle bearings
lower steering stem bushings
front hubs
front brake calipers
master cylinders (rear may have different length pushrods)
headlights + tail lights
85-87.5 rear hubs
all wheels
rear sprockets
rear sprocket hubs (maybe only up to 87.5)
clutches in 85-86 250r motor, maybe others.

i know, most of those parts are pretty boring. but it's VERY helpful to know things like that because in many cases you cant find some of those parts for the 230 but you usually can find them for the r...

oh and im sure im forgetting a bunch of things i may add on later...

Cool suzuki 230lt engine problem

last week me and a couple buddys went to houghton lake MI and i brought my 1987 suzuki 230lt quad sport. So we where driving on the ice then my gf's friend took it for a drive. when she came back she was walkin she said it klunked and died and the kickstarter is locked up. so i assume she bend some rods and wielded the piston into the jug. but before i tear it apart i need some advice. So what kind of rods should i use and how much can i safely bored a 230 jug out to? i manly use it once a month to joy ride in *******, MI we go on 2-3 hr rides through woods and sand at about 40 mph with a few stops and breaks. and i have to dune it aleast once a year? any suggestions comments or advice? thanks guys, jeff

I gave 250 for my suzuki 230 quadrunner, if it runs good you could probably get 5 or 6 hundred for it. They arent very popular because the lack of rear suspension makes them hard on trail riding and they are slower than the other 230 models. I might be interested if youre anywhere near me though
