I think arctic cat has it now with the 950cc thundercat.

The zilla is cool, but you cant mod it too much without it blowing the tranny. I wouldnt want to mod it, but that's what everyone complains about.

no but they put it in the mudpro. My friend bought that silly thing... its like a tractor. Top speed is 50 mph. I call it a John Deere because its green, has tractor tires, and is about as fast as one!

lmao, i honestly cant ever see myself riding around on something like that. if i cant pick the front or back up and physically move it, no thanks. we have one of those old lt250 quadrunners with low range, just 2wd. its slow and will out pull a 300 bayou 4x4 (weve chained them up before and tried it) but its so damn heavy in the back youd be hard pressed to unstick yourself if you wedged it somewhere without a winch. half the fun is getting it unstuck anyway right?

I'm the same way. Too heavy to move, it might as well be a truck lol! 50+ inches wide.... A Ranger 4x4 pickup is about 65 inches.... only 15 inches bigger. And the Ranger comes in a 4000cc model and has AC! It would probably outpull 10 bayous :P

But, if you want a 4x4 atv, 550lbs is as light as they come...

thats true, all that extra iron for the fwd must add a ton of weight. i dont do a lot of working with my bikes, so fwd is pointless. i like the look on my friends face when my little 2wd follows their 4wds everywhere.

sometimes it comes in handy.. crawling over logs or deep mud, but its longer and harder to steer

i normally bump logs and hop over them with my bayou, a little rough but hey, who doesnt love jumping? i go mudding a lot, not over 10" or so though. of course, i have 22" (?) gator tires on the back for a reason. i havent got stuck yet. tomorrow im going to check my cam and see how bad it is. my dad has a friend with several parts bayous and were going to check the valves and cam on one and buy it from him. im looking forward to having some actual hp on that thing soon. lol

Default 230s crankshaft

When I built my 87 engine I learned that the oil passage to the connecting rod bearing was to small. I drilled it out while rebuilding the crank with a number 40 wire drill bit. Then installed an oil pump and gear from an 86 LT230G for more pressure. Local dealer told me this fix. I guess when these engines are warm, there is very little oil pressure before this fix.
