So today I pulled the quad out just to play a little. Started right up with no problems. Ran good for about 5 min. Then is started sputtering, then died. Added some gas and it started right up no problem. Well every time I give it gas it just sputters and backfires. Give it a little gas or wide open, same thing. Just sputters and backfires. Does anybody have any suggestions? This is an '05 Eiger, auto, 4x4, k&n air filter and a filter on the fuel line. Filter is clean. The quad has 240 miles on it and I have not really rode it since the end of October. Rode it in Idaho durring a week log hunting trip. It was very dusty the hole time except for the last day when it rained real good. I have putzed up and down the street once and a while but nothing major. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

 

You may want to open up your carb and clean it. They are know for crap in the tank getting in them.
