congratulations on the bike, you made a good choice. my nehpews got a eiger and its a tough bike. i dont own one of these winches personally, but when i buy a winch that is what ill buy. from what ive read here they seem to hold up pretty good. the only thing to watch for is to not overheat the winch on a hard pull. if it starts getting hot, stop and let it cool for a few minutes. you can do a search in the utility section of this forum and see the old discussions on these winches. i just cant justify turning lose of 300 to 400 for a warn winch. i know that you get what you pay for but i dont plan to use that often so i think one of these cheap winches would suit me fine. good luck with your new eiger.

I'm using a Venom winch on my 2006 Vinson. 119.00 complete on e-bay. So far it been flawless. My only suggestion is to invest in a ****** block so the winch isn't working as hard.

Congrats on the new Eiger. You will not be dissappointed. I too was wondering on how some of those cheaper winches performed. I agree with the gentlemen above about forking out all that cash for a warn. I hardly ever would have to use a winch anyway but there have been a few times when it would have came in handy. Welcome to the Eiger family and happy trails.

I've got an 05 Eiger auto and love it. Bought it brand new back in Sep. Just used it a week ago to plow 14 inches of heavy wet snow which it cut thru like butter. In fact, I plowed most of my back yard in 2 wheel drive. Once in 4WD, I could not bog it down. I even went thru fields and could not get stuck. Great cold weather starter, lots of torque, very comfortable, extreemely functional. Couldn't want more. Hope you enjoy your Eiger.

Congratulations on your new ride. I had mine for just a month, nothing but good things to say about it. Put a Vemon #2500 winch from ebay on it, more good things to say. Very easy install with the Suzuki pre-wiring. If you are looking
