I was out playing in the mud today and it starting acting up. The engine is running and sounds fine but when im in gear im hardly getting any power to the wheels. but it crawls in first gear (manual) Low and High and reverse i try to shift and its the same speed as if its not changing gears. Its not a engine problem it will run at full throttle but the wheels crawl /wont go. After playing with the shifter a couple of time it did kick in through all the gears but when i stop and go again it started again. any one a have any ideas? I thought a belt was slipping but someone told me if its manual it dosent have any belts.

I just took off my side panels and everything looked ok. the shaft moves in neutral fine but nothing when its in gear

 

Maybe a centrifugal clutch problem. Bummer.

 

Think running 27" Mud Lites would have anything to do w/ screwing the clutch up??? Just a thought.

 

Did you ever have it a gear or two high?...I'm told that will burn the clutchs up if your hard on the throttle.

 

I bought it used at the dealership and only had it for a month. So i guess the last owner road it pretty hard. But they did give me a 90 day warranty on it so ill let them take car of it Tue.

 

Just got off the phone with the dealer and it was the clutch. They said it would have cost $180 for the part but they where going to replace everything which runs aboout $400. thank god for the warrenty.
