How many miles does everybody have on their original KQ belts. I have 1700 miles on the original. With the last 800 running 26 inch MLite xl's. Not a hint of performance loss, or squealing.

 

I've got 1150 miles on my original belt and under normal riding conditions it never slips, I've heard a "whelp" from the belt housing when I plow snow this past winter occasional when reversing after hitting a pile of snow...but that's expected. Also when I jam on the breaks really hard and stop the belt makes a loud sound when I take off...but again that's not an issue b/c I never break that hard.

 

I have almost 4900 miles on my '05 now. I replaced the belt at 1,800 miles thinking it might take care of the slip and squeal when you take off after braking hard. It didn't and there was nothing wrong with the belt. I put the new one on anyway. No other problems with it. I think the only thing you'll notice is a little top end goes away with more miles on the belt. I know this forum is for Suzuki's, but my '04 Grizzly has over 8,000 miles on the original belt!!
