Just let me or big bird ride it then it'll be lowered plenty. LOL You might try to find a shorter rear shock that will fit it. I'm sure big bird can rig something up for ya. He's the shock master. Remember his banshee front shocks?? LOL

CRJ and CFM Performance (ebay) both make lowering links for the rear if your on a budget but proper shocks are the way to go .

you dont want to mess with the springs on the shocks when lowering, it makes the ride way to soft and it could bottom out, its best to buy the kit for it

CRJ just came out with a new(r) kit this summer that has 3 positions to lower the rear of the Z's. The Lowest setting of which actually lowers it 2 inches lower than the previous model which only had 1 setting (I have both models). I've used the CRJ kits on my Z, LTR and Blaster for TT racing and have had no problems. Keep in mind that lowering kits are not made for jumping although I have run mine at Hollister Hills trails, pismo, and Mojave with the kits and had no problems. As Mucky stated, I wouldn't try to lower the quad by adjusting the springs either. You'd just blow the shock in the long run. Drop the $109 and get the lowering kit.
