So you were all right.... the jets were clogged with sand. The shop also found a bad vacuum hose and with that fixed the quad feels like it has been re-born. thanks for all the help guys! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

JUST AN UPDATE, BUT THE REASON MY VINSON WAS BOGGING DOWN IN WET CONDITIONS WAS I FOUND THE RUBBER BOOT CLAMP ON CARB WHICH CONNECTS TO MOTOR BLOCK LOOSE, AFTER I TIGHTENED IT, THE SYMPTOM WENT AWAY, AND NOW HAVE NO PROBLEMS IN MUD AND WATER,RIVERS. ETC

 

Hi all. Same atv vinson 500 2003. I had the same problem ( strarting n. 1 idling n.1 but when accelerating the engine cuts and doing backfire.)
I cleaned carburetor and found some trashes in the main jet and in the entry on gas (between the hose and the needle valve)
He s running now A1 THANK you all
