Default BIG PROBLEM!!!!!!

I have an 87 Lt250r. Me and a couple of friends were rippin around all day today, and then it started to bog out on me. i stopped and it started to smoke cause there was an antifreeze leak somewhere. well anyways we eventually pull started it cause it wouldnt kick over. it was runnin ok and then it just sort of shut of then when i went to kick it, i couldnt cause it was locked up. What do u think the problem is and how much approximately will it be to fix. i think the pistons are seized or somethin but i dont know a whole lot about motors. any help would be appreciated

it is about $7.00 to $10.00 for a head gasket. if you seize the engine it would be about $150.00 to $200.00 but you need to pull the plug and see what it looks like first.

pull out the spark plug and if it's running good it should be light brown to tan if enough coolent got into the cylinder it would be locked up tight at the kick starter

If i were you i would pull the drain plug at the bottom of the motor, if you see antifreeze in the oil then thats your problem

yes. its called hydrolock, if its on top of the piston water and coolant wont compress and it locks the piston. remove the spark plug and see if it turns over. if it doesnt then its a new top end. piston and cylinder and maybe a head

you shouldnt run it with antifreeze leaking. It probably got hot and locked up.I guess you meant the antifreeze was leaking on the outside of the motor and not into the engine cylider.
