r450 cherry bomb gone wrong
#1
i installed an 06 cherry bomb for an 06 r450 on my 06 r450 yesterday and the intructions said to remove the rubber boot on one of the connections up front and plug in there. On the quad the only connection with a black rubber boot has a different connection. There is a connection with a white end cap that fits it though. Anyone else have this issue? is there anyway to tell if its working? should i be able to hear a difference?

well i checked again but its the same, the only connection with a black rubber boot has 4 connectors inside it, the cherry bomb requires six and i found another connection with a white end cap with 6 fits perfectly but how do i know?

Lets look at it differently, how many connections in the front will fit the cherry bomb? just one right? how many connections are there total? i'm guessing that something got messed up when the dealer put it together, but i hope im connected in the right spot. On mine there are two connectors on with a black boot one with a white one the black boot one wont fit, its a different style, the white one fits perfect. can i get someone to check their machine and see how many connectors there are?

Lets make this simple. It will only plug into the plug its supposed to fit. simple. if it plugs in, thats the right plug. you will not hear a difference by simply plugging in. you will feel a difference if you take out the baffle and remove the airbox lid. If you do not remove those two items, your bike will be slower jus plugging in the c.b. also, get you a k&n extreem air lid or an outerwears velcro on lid.....jus a lil extra insurance. The outerwears won't let water in, but will let in all the air you need. Have fun
