i raced a 2004 250ex vs a 230 quadsport 1988 i think (both stock) and the 250ex won by a longshot so i dont know if exhaust would make a difference

 

See this is a hard question, because being almost 20 years old some of the 230's running around are really wipped. Thelaw32 says that he has raced a 230 and won with both units being stock, I know That I used to run just about neck and neck with more thatn one 300ex. My motor was fresh, but not built by any means. My question is how fast is a 250ex vs. a 300ex? Iv riden a 250z which should be pretty close to a 250ex and it was a dog. Hondarider, is the suzuki wipped or is it still strong?

I own a 1 year old 400ex, and I guarentee when/if I ever get done with my 273cc conversion, I will KILL 400cc bikes!! Yes, I relize you think I am full of it, but think about it. HP to weight ratio is in my favor, I weigh 155 sokin wet, my lil antique WAS 289lbs, now 215lbs, soon to be dynoed at 36hp at the rear wheel, (up from 13hp! stock!) My 06 400ex weighs 310lbs, 19hp at the rear with mods............ Do the math!!! Doubt me?
