I think 3 rollers are too light.

three rollers is the only way to really keep it balanced without some serious work.
I am probally going to but them back in later once I make a bigger change

And why isn't 4 rollers balanced? 2-space-2-space.
All my motors run 3 or 4 rollers.
Like I stated. Never a balance issue even when I ran with 5 rollers.

This clutch has 2 side by side then a big space then 2 then big space then 2.
Not six rollers evenly spaced like you are think of.

Looking at the pic provided, I see what you mean. I have been into clutchs like this.
From my expieriences with different weights and numbers of rollers thru the years, I don't think there would be any balance problems. To run 3, 4, or 5 rollers at least long enough to find out what weight is needed/close shouldn't hurt anything IMO.

Why do you say that 3 rollers are too light - other than great acceleration out of the hole (which is why I did it) why is it not so good then ?

We have been running 3 rollers for a week now with no problems. If it is really a concern I know you can buy the roller kits by weight. The bottom end is much improved. Thank you for the suggestion.

Got tired of waiting on th esprockets to come so I machined out my own rear sprocket. Took a #40 roller chain sprocket with 48 teeth (stock 37) machined out the center and drilled some new hole. That should make a big difference just have to wait to go riding again now.

Top speed isnt that great really so I wouldnt have thought gearing it even further down would be a good idea.
Acceleration will be very rapid but surely you'll reach top speed in about 20ft with that gearing ?

I notice too that CT Racing offers the CDI for $194 approx but it doesnt show up on Dyna's own website - perhaps they were specially made for them and thats why they're so dear ?
