Default ltz50 quad no power

I have been reading through this thread. It is the most informative thread I have found on the web. I am VERY new to riding, we just bought a YFZ450, YZ80 and this LTZ50 for my son. It is the perfect size for him, but he wants more power as always. I wish I would have known about the 2 strokes. My friend had a Suzuki 50 and that is what we fell in love with, turns out he had the 2 stroke though

Can someone re-cap this thread for those coming in very late? What are the common things to do to the LTZ50s? and what is the "biggest bang for the buck"?

Thanks.

Thanks. We had the dealer take out the spacer. When we first bought it, it went NOWHERE. So they charged us $85 to remove it (we didnt know any better). That was a BIG difference. I am very new to this, how hard is taking out the 3 rollers in the clutch? I do not want to mess up my son's new quad. Also, what does that do for it?

Where do you drill the exhaust holes? and what does that do for it? The CT Racing pipe looks very nice. I looked on FMFs site and could not find an exhaust for it.

Is Dynatek the better box? or is the Z90? I was reading alot about those two. Thanks for the heads up on the filter, I definitely need one.

How fast can these things be made to go?

not at all if you look back a few pages, there are pics , to show you , to take them out , and drill exhaust 1 hr, sp afr the dynatek , is better, take out the spark arester , cut the tube out , be hind it drill a 3/8s hole , that is all so showed a few pages back , the 3 rollers will let it take off , better from stand still, like i said i drill and it helped, iam going to wait befor i buy a new exhaust ,

Is the CDI box the first thing that should be bought? Does it make a big difference?

Also, is the drilling modification better or close to a FMF exhaust?

The cdi will raise the rev limiter so I would say htat is the best place to start. Drilling the exhaust is by far the cheapest way.
